Do you have a professional community that listens to your struggles in life?
One of the lessons that helped me become a better entrepreneur is having a network of people who understand your business struggles and willing to help you.
This 2020 has been a life-changing year for me, especially on my professional outlook in life. I am now a registered business owner in the Philippines and serving several clients to get profitable Facebook ads campaign.
Looking back into my younger self, I have always wanted to become a business owner but I never imagined how I will get there.
I joined a local freelancing community that connected to a lot of people who I never thought I would ever be engaged with. It’s truly an opportunity that has made me become 1000X more than I was before I joined the community.
More than anything else, it’s the network of members that I’m most thankful for. This Filipino-based community has brought Filipino freelancers around the globe to connect with each other and share their struggles and experiences.
With that, make sure that you have people who you can trust and willing to listen to your struggle. Having a network of professional individuals who you can call (virtual) friends is a blessing.
In a time when everyone’s attention is too limited, having a close circle of a network who is willing to helping you will not easy to find. When you meet people, they can either (1) help you, (2) needs your help, or (3) learn with them. If you can have these three people in your life, you’re already in a good place. This can become your secret to success.
Going back to the question: do you have your community who understands your struggle in life? If no, the world can become too difficult and it’s always a good idea to connect to new people who can help you become better.

agree life is easier if you belong to a community who is willing to support you all the way
Super agree, Rome. One needs to belong to a group or a community. This benefits every body and could lighten a member’s burden.
Super agree jud na having a community with the likes of yours can really help you in growing your craft, not only in businesses but even on things you love to do 😍
Our community can really help us build and choose a rigjt target market. Every businessman believes that the more you can have the more they can help you through your goal.
I totally agree with you Rome. Having a community who understand you and help you become better is such an amazing opportunity and a wonderful blessing.
I am always grateful for having such supportive communities like Cebu Content Creators and Grammer Session Cebu. Being in a community of content creators was my only go-to place for self-growth as a content creator and I was so blessed to have this kind of privilege to be part of a family that supports all the way.
The concept of community is truly amazing. One thing I realized about having a community is that it’s a lot easier to go out your comfort zone when you have a supportive community. I am lucky to be part of communities that are open and able to inspire its members. With the confluence of great ideas coupled with meaningful interaction, a learning community is formed which is beneficial to everybody. For the past three years, I forgot the value of community because I was occupied with work-related stuff. I also become too comfortable. But in 2020, I have found it to be very helpful especially when things get tough.
It is very helpful. That is why there are groups founded to help or has specific goal. In therapy for example, those victims of cancer, abuse needs a support group to help them cope. Also those who are struggling in stopping their addiction: alcohol, cigars, games. also mentally: like depression, etc. By being able to talk to someone with same experience like yours even is they are not your family by blood, is easier to speak up to them as they too have the same struggle like you. And you won’t have to be shy saying your experience or opinion. Still having someone from the family is also beneficial. They would love to help as you are their family. As side, no one is an island. We always need someone to be better, to help us grow and see the potential in us that we don’t see in ourselves.
I couldn’t agree more, Rome. Finding your community, your tribe will not only make you feel at home, it will also help you produce exponential results. No man is an island, so they say, and I would agree. While we can move forward on our own, it’s a whole different story if we are forging ahead with our community of cheerleaders and supporters. I am glad that you found your community and that they are helping you in your entrepreneurship and life journey in general.
It always helps to have a community where you can contribute ideas and listen to new ones. I’m glad to be in some of them because that’s where I learned more about what I do now 🙂
Having a community that will understand our chosen endeavor is a crucial step to do. They can our branch that we can hold on whenever problems may arise along the way.
